Key Responsibilities
- Ensure fresh food displays are consistently well-stocked, visually appealing, and properly rotated to maximize freshness and minimize waste.
- Actively assist customers with product inquiries, provide knowledgeable recommendations, and offer exceptional, friendly service to enhance their shopping experience.
- Maintain rigorous cleanliness and hygiene standards across all fresh food departments, including preparation areas, shelving units, and equipment.
- Proactively monitor product freshness, quality, and expiration dates, promptly removing any expired or damaged items to uphold quality standards.
- Efficiently receive, unpack, and accurately store fresh food deliveries in strict accordance with company procedures and established food safety guidelines.
- Operate basic food preparation equipment safely and efficiently, such as scales, slicers, and wrappers, ensuring proper handling.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, with particular attention to temperature control protocols for perishable goods.
- Accurately and efficiently process customer transactions at the point-of-sale (POS) register when required, ensuring a smooth checkout process.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve departmental goals and actively contribute to a positive, cooperative store atmosphere.
- Respond to customer feedback and resolve any issues or concerns promptly, professionally, and courteously to ensure customer satisfaction.
