Key Responsibilities
- Install, connect, and test telecommunications services (internet, TV, phone) in residential and commercial customer locations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve service issues, including diagnosing and repairing faults in wiring, equipment, and network connections.
- Educate customers on their services, equipment operation, and provide excellent customer service during on-site visits.
- Perform routine maintenance on existing systems and infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Adhere strictly to all safety policies and procedures, including ladder safety, vehicle operation, and working in various environments.
- Complete all required paperwork and digital documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Manage and organize company-provided tools, equipment, and inventory efficiently.
- Work collaboratively with dispatch, technical support, and other team members to ensure seamless service delivery.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 18 months of experience in a field service or technical support role.
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs, climb ladders, crawl in confined spaces, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Basic computer literacy and comfort with mobile applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in electronics, telecommunications, or a related field.
- Previous experience in the telecommunications industry.
- Certifications in network cabling, fiber optics, or other relevant technologies.
- Familiarity with various types of hand and power tools.
- Proven track record of meeting service delivery targets and customer satisfaction goals.
