Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the installation, configuration, maintenance, and comprehensive troubleshooting of diverse telecommunications equipment and systems, including mobile base stations, fiber optics networks, and core network infrastructure.
  • Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and performance monitoring to ensure optimal functionality, reliability, and availability of all network elements.
  • Efficiently respond to and meticulously resolve technical issues, service disruptions, and customer service requests, ensuring minimal downtime and high customer satisfaction.
  • Accurately document all maintenance activities, service interventions, equipment configurations, and technical reports in adherence to company standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with senior technical staff, engineers, and other departmental teams to ensure seamless service delivery, project completion, and adherence to service level agreements.
  • Strictly adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies during all field operations and equipment handling procedures.
  • Actively participate in and successfully complete all provided training programs and workshops to enhance technical knowledge, refine practical skills, and stay abreast of industry advancements.

Required Skills

  • Diploma or Degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, Information Technology, or a closely related technical field.
  • Strong analytical thinking and exceptional problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
  • Fundamental understanding of electrical, electronic, or networking principles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Valid Mauritian driving license (manual transmission preferred) and willingness to travel for field work.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as a valued member of a team.
  • High level of enthusiasm, willingness to learn rapidly, and adaptability to new technologies and processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior practical experience (e.g., through internships, vocational training, or personal projects) in a technical support or field service environment.
  • Basic knowledge of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP) or mobile communication technologies (e.g., GSM, 3G, 4G, 5G).
  • Proficiency in using technical diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
