Job Description
LightWay Academy is currently seeking a passionate, enthusiastic, and experienced Basic Education Teacher to enrich our primary school faculty. As a Basic Education Teacher, you will be responsible for creating and delivering engaging, age-appropriate lessons across a broad curriculum, including English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons in accordance with the national curriculum and school guidelines for basic education.
- Create and maintain a positive, safe, and disciplined classroom environment that promotes active learning and student well-being.
- Assess and monitor student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and implementing differentiated instruction strategies.
- Communicate effectively and regularly with parents/guardians regarding student academic performance, behavior, and overall development.
- Prepare and update required records, including lesson plans, attendance registers, and student assessment data.
- Participate actively in faculty meetings, professional development workshops, and school-wide events and activities.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to share best practices and contribute to curriculum enhancement.
- Incorporate a variety of teaching methodologies and educational resources, including technology, to enhance the learning experience.
- Support the social-emotional growth of students, encouraging positive peer interactions and problem-solving skills.
- Supervise students during non-instructional times, such as breaks, lunch, and extracurricular activities.
