Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the lead teacher in preparing and organizing classroom materials, including setting up learning stations and displays.
  • Provide individual and small-group support to students, clarifying instructions, reinforcing concepts, and encouraging participation.
  • Supervise students during classroom activities, transitions, and non-instructional times (e.g., lunch, recess, library visits).
  • Help maintain a positive, safe, and orderly classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as taking attendance, filing, and managing student records as directed by the teacher.
  • Observe and report student progress, behavior, and needs to the lead teacher.
  • Support students with special needs, adhering to individualized education plans (IEPs) or teacher guidance.
  • Facilitate positive communication and interaction among students.
  • Participate in school activities, events, and staff meetings as required.
  • Learn and adapt to new teaching methods and educational technologies.
