Job Description

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Risk Analyst to join our dynamic team in Georgetown. This pivotal role will be instrumental in identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial and operational risks across various business lines within TD Bank. Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, assess, monitor, and report on key risks, including credit risk, market risk, operational risk, and liquidity risk.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and controls in alignment with TD Bank's risk appetite framework.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and scenario analyses to evaluate potential impacts on the bank's financial performance.
  • Prepare comprehensive risk reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management and regulatory bodies.
  • Collaborate with business units to understand their operations and integrate risk management practices into daily activities.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risk factors relevant to the financial services sector.
  • Participate in the development and enhancement of risk models and analytical tools.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on risk-related matters to various stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal policies, external regulations, and best practice guidelines.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations related to risk management processes.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in risk management, financial analysis, or a similar role within the banking or financial services industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other data analysis tools.
  • Solid understanding of financial products, risk concepts, and regulatory requirements (e.g., Basel, IFRS 9).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in all work performed.

Preferred Qualifications
