Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough financial analysis of prospective and existing commercial loan applicants, including cash flow analysis, balance sheet analysis, and income statement review.
- Prepare comprehensive credit reports, memos, and presentations summarizing findings and making informed recommendations regarding credit risk.
- Assess borrower financial strength, industry trends, and collateral to determine creditworthiness and adherence to lending guidelines.
- Collaborate with Relationship Managers, Underwriters, and other internal stakeholders to ensure efficient processing of credit requests.
- Monitor existing loan portfolios for potential credit deterioration and recommend appropriate actions.
- Stay current with economic conditions, market trends, and regulatory changes impacting the banking and financial services industry.
- Ensure all credit activities comply with internal policies, procedures, and external regulatory requirements.
- Participate in client meetings and provide expertise on credit-related matters when necessary.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in financial analysis and credit assessment, preferably within a banking or financial institution.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and financial modeling techniques.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with financial analysis software.
