Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a taxi vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Transport passengers to their destinations in a timely and efficient manner.
- Provide exceptional customer service, assisting passengers with luggage and special needs.
- Maintain cleanliness and basic operational checks of the assigned vehicle.
- Accurately collect fares and process payments using in-cab systems.
- Utilize dispatch systems and GPS technology for navigation and ride assignments.
- Maintain detailed records of trips, mileage, and earnings as required.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers.
- Adhere to a flexible schedule, managing personal work hours efficiently.
- Act as a professional and courteous representative of Yellow Cab of Tucson.
Required Skills
- Valid Arizona Driver's License (Class D or equivalent)
- Clean driving record for at least the past 3 years
- Excellent knowledge of Tucson metropolitan area streets and landmarks
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to operate GPS and in-cab payment systems
- Basic arithmetic skills for handling cash payments
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Must be 21 years of age or older
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous professional driving experience (e.g., taxi, rideshare, delivery)
- Familiarity with local tourism spots and popular destinations in Tucson
- Ability to speak multiple languages is a plus
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
