Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of hourly team members, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Oversee daily store operations within a specific department (e.g., Guest Experience, Merchandising, Fulfillment, Food & Beverage), ensuring efficiency and adherence to company standards.
- Drive sales performance and guest satisfaction by ensuring a clean, well-stocked, and organized sales floor.
- Execute merchandising plans, promotional displays, and visual standards to enhance the guest shopping experience.
- Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and backroom organization, to ensure product availability.
- Train new team members and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to improve performance and skill development.
- Address guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally, maintaining Target's reputation for excellent service.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Contribute to a high-performing culture through effective communication, problem-solving, and collaboration with other leaders.
Required Skills
- 1-2 years of leadership experience, preferably in a retail, hospitality, or service-oriented environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to drive results and achieve operational goals.
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as business needs require.
- Basic computer proficiency and comfort with retail technology systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Management, or a related field.
