Key Responsibilities
- Greet and engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner as they approach the checkout lane.
- Accurately scan, weigh, and bag merchandise, ensuring all items are properly processed.
- Process various payment methods including cash, credit/debit cards, gift cards, and coupons.
- Maintain accurate cash drawer balances and adhere to all cash handling policies and procedures.
- Assist guests with price checks, locate items, and provide information about current promotions and store services.
- Efficiently process returns, exchanges, and resolve guest issues with a positive and solution-oriented approach.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting checkout area, including stocking bags and ensuring equipment is functional.
- Actively inform guests about the benefits of the Target RedCard and other loyalty programs.
- Uphold Target's brand standards for cleanliness, organization, and guest service throughout the store.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations and a consistent guest experience.

- Excellent guest service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to accurately handle cash transactions and basic math skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic retail environment.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail, customer service, or cashier role.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems.
