Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document detailed business requirements and functional specifications.
  • Perform in-depth systems analysis to identify current system limitations, integration points, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Translate business requirements into clear, concise, and comprehensive technical specifications for development teams.
  • Design and model system solutions, including data models, process flows, and user interface mock-ups, ensuring alignment with architectural standards.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), from conceptualization and design to testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings with both technical and non-technical audiences to ensure mutual understanding and agreement on solutions.
  • Support quality assurance activities, including developing test plans and conducting system testing to validate solutions meet specified requirements.
  • Provide ongoing support and expertise to project teams, addressing technical queries and resolving system-related issues.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of system designs, configurations, and processes.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Systems Analyst or in a similar role.
  • Proven experience in requirements gathering, business process analysis, and functional specification documentation.
  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and various methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
  • Proficiency in data analysis and basic SQL querying for relational databases.
  • Experience with system integration concepts and technologies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
  • Eligibility for UK Skilled Worker Visa sponsorship (if applicable).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience with enterprise-level applications (e.g., ERP, CRM) or specific industry domains.
  • Familiarity with modelling tools (e.g., UML, BPMN) and requirements management software.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, Agile ScrumMaster).
  • Experience in a consulting environment.
