You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive land surveys, including topographical, cadastral, and engineering surveys, utilizing state-of-the-art surveying equipment such as Total Stations, GPS/GNSS receivers, and laser scanners.

You will work closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and site teams, providing expert advice and resolving potential spatial challenges. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive land surveys including topographical, cadastral, engineering, and construction surveys.
  • Utilize modern surveying equipment (Total Stations, GPS/GNSS receivers, laser scanners, drones) for accurate data collection.
  • Process and analyze survey data using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS, LISCAD).
  • Prepare detailed survey maps, plans, reports, and calculations in accordance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform site layout and stakeout for construction activities, ensuring precise alignment and elevation.
  • Collaborate effectively with project managers, engineers, architects, and construction teams to provide surveying support and resolve technical issues.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental guidelines on all survey sites.
  • Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot surveying equipment to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
  • Conduct quality control checks on survey data and deliverables to guarantee accuracy and reliability.
  • Assist in project planning, resource allocation, and timeline management related to surveying activities.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Surveying and Geo-informatics, Geodesy, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience as a Land Surveyor, preferably in construction or civil engineering projects.
  • Proficiency in operating and calibrating modern surveying equipment (Total Stations, GPS/GNSS).
  • Strong command of surveying software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, or similar CAD platforms.
  • Excellent understanding of surveying principles, practices, and legal requirements in Nigeria.
  • Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and topographical maps.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present technical information.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Valid professional license or registration with relevant professional bodies (e.g., SURCON).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with drone-based photogrammetry and LiDAR data processing.
  • Familiarity with GIS applications and spatial database management.
  • Proven experience on large-scale infrastructure projects (roads, bridges, airports, major buildings).
  • Additional certifications in project management or advanced surveying techniques.
