Key Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centred care and support to residents, assisting with personal care tasks such as washing, dressing, and mobility.
  • Assist residents with meal times, ensuring dietary requirements are met and promoting a pleasant dining experience.
  • Engage residents in meaningful activities and social interactions, promoting their physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
  • Monitor and record residents' health and well-being, reporting any changes or concerns to senior staff.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe environment for residents, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
  • Administer medication as per care plans and company policy (following appropriate training and certification).
  • Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Contribute to the development and review of individualised care plans.
  • Act as a key worker for designated residents, building strong, trusting relationships.

Preferred Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience working in a residential care setting.
  • Experience in medication administration.
  • First Aid qualification.
