Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming goods, verifying against purchase orders for accuracy and quantity.
- Efficiently and accurately store items in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper labeling and organisation.
- Pick and pack orders according to picking lists, ensuring items are correct, complete, and prepared for dispatch.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using the warehouse management system (WMS) and perform regular stock counts.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently, including pallet trucks and other relevant machinery.
- Assist with loading outgoing shipments onto delivery vehicles.
- Identify and report any discrepancies, damages, or quality issues with inventory.
- Ensure a clean, tidy, and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and problem resolution.
Required Skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Good basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Proficiency in using basic computer applications and willingness to learn warehouse management systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with a specific Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Valid Counterbalance or Reach Truck Forklift license.
- Previous experience in inventory control or stock management.
