Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Supply Chain Assistant to join our dynamic team in Moncton, New Brunswick. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the coordination of inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely delivery and receipt of goods.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records through regular updates and reconciliation processes.
  • Support the procurement team by preparing purchase orders, tracking orders, and communicating with suppliers.
  • Generate and analyze supply chain reports, identifying trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with logistics partners to optimize transportation routes and minimize shipping costs.
  • Resolve minor supply chain issues and discrepancies promptly, escalating complex problems to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and quality standards.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Assist with data entry and maintenance in various supply chain management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Support continuous improvement projects by providing administrative and analytical assistance.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supply chain, logistics, or administrative role, preferably within a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems like SAP or Oracle.
  • Familiarity with inventory management principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and quality standards.
