Key Responsibilities
- Assist producers, engineers, and artists with all aspects of recording sessions, including setup, breakdown, and general studio maintenance.
- Prepare recording spaces, ensuring all necessary equipment is functioning correctly and set up according to specifications.
- Organize and log session files, takes, and administrative details accurately and efficiently.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of studio equipment (microphones, interfaces, software, etc.).
- Manage studio inventory, ensuring supplies are stocked and equipment is accounted for.
- Provide administrative support, including scheduling, correspondence, and managing expenses related to studio operations.
- Act as a runner for essential supplies, food, or other needs during prolonged sessions, ensuring timely delivery.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional studio environment at all times, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Assist with quality control checks on recorded material, flagging any technical issues for review.
- Adhere strictly to confidentiality protocols regarding artists, unreleased music, and all studio activities and proprietary information.
Required Skills
- Proficiency with Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, or Ableton Live.
- Basic understanding of audio engineering principles, signal flow, and microphone techniques.
