As a critical member of our operations, you will be the custodian of our valuable inventory, playing a pivotal role in the systematic receipt, storage, issuance, and control of all goods and materials that flow through our facility. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the receipt, inspection, storage, and issuance of goods and materials.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records using a computerized system and manual logs.
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile with system records, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
- Ensure proper storage conditions, organization, and labeling of all items to optimize space and accessibility.
- Prepare and process requisitions, orders, and delivery notes for incoming and outgoing stock.
- Oversee the loading and unloading of deliveries, ensuring goods are handled safely and efficiently.
- Implement and enforce warehouse safety procedures and guidelines, maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
- Monitor stock levels and identify reorder points to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
- Collaborate with procurement and operations teams to forecast demand and manage supply chain flow.
- Report on inventory status, damaged goods, or any operational issues to management.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a Storekeeper or in a similar warehouse/inventory role.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Strong understanding of inventory control principles and warehousing best practices.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- OND/HND/B.Sc. in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certification in warehouse operations or inventory management.
- Experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment (with valid certification).
