Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the receipt, unloading, and inspection of all incoming goods, ensuring accuracy against purchase orders and quality standards.
- Organize and maintain the store/warehouse layout, ensuring efficient space utilization and easy accessibility of products.
- Implement and maintain robust inventory control systems to accurately track stock levels, monitor expiry dates, and minimize shrinkage.
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconciliations, investigating and reporting any discrepancies.
- Prepare and issue goods to various departments or customers as per requisitions, ensuring proper documentation.
- Operate and maintain material handling equipment (e.g., trolleys, pallet jacks) safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in compliance with company policies and health & safety regulations.
- Generate comprehensive inventory reports and provide insights on stock movement and potential areas for improvement.
- Collaborate effectively with procurement, sales, and logistics teams to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
- Safeguard company assets by implementing proper security measures for inventory.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Storekeeper, Inventory Clerk, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and warehouse operations.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or higher national diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience with pharmaceutical or retail inventory management systems.
- Certification in warehouse operations or logistics.
- Familiarity with safety procedures in a warehouse environment.
