As a Storekeeper, you will be responsible for the meticulous management of all incoming and outgoing goods, playing a pivotal part in maintaining optimal stock levels and minimising waste. Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming deliveries, verifying contents against purchase orders and reporting discrepancies.
  • Accurately record and update inventory data using manual and digital systems, ensuring real-time stock visibility.
  • Organise and maintain the stockroom, ensuring goods are stored safely, efficiently, and according to company standards and FIFO (First-In, First-Out) principles.
  • Prepare and dispatch outgoing stock transfers and returns, ensuring proper documentation and packaging.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and participate in periodic inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
  • Identify and report any damaged, expired, or slow-moving stock, assisting with appropriate disposal or clearance procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment within the stockroom and delivery areas.
  • Operate manual handling equipment (e.g., pallet trucks) safely and efficiently, where required and trained.
  • Collaborate closely with sales floor colleagues and management to facilitate timely product replenishment and support promotional activities.
  • Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations, food hygiene standards, and company policies.
