Job Description

Super Plus Food Stores is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Store Supervisor to join our team in Falmouth, Trelawny Parish. Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of retail staff, including assigning duties, monitoring performance, and providing regular feedback.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service standards are met consistently, handling customer inquiries and resolving complaints effectively.
  • Oversee all aspects of stock management, including receiving, storing, merchandising, replenishment, and conducting regular inventory counts.
  • Monitor stock levels to prevent overstocking or stock-outs, ensuring optimal product availability and freshness.
  • Implement and enforce store policies and procedures related to sales, security, and health and safety.
  • Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching and development to existing staff.
  • Assist in the preparation of staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and operational efficiency.
  • Handle daily cash management, including till reconciliation, deposits, and ensuring accurate transaction processing.
  • Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and visual merchandising standards to create an appealing shopping environment.
  • Identify and address potential security risks, implementing measures to prevent theft and shrinkage.
  • Contribute to achieving sales targets and promoting special offers and promotions.
  • Perform general administrative tasks and generate reports as required by management.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a retail supervisory role.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in inventory management and stock control procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic retail environment.
  • Sound knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
  • Competency in basic computer applications, including POS systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent certification in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field.
  • Experience with fresh produce or grocery retail operations.
