Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily store operations, ensuring efficiency, cleanliness, and adherence to company standards.
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Recruit, train, motivate, and manage a high-performing team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and loss prevention procedures.
- Ensure exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and promoting a customer-centric culture.
- Implement visual merchandising guidelines to create attractive and engaging product displays.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify training needs for staff.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and challenges.
- Manage store budgets, control operating costs, and optimize profitability.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and security regulations.
- Prepare and present regular reports on store performance, sales data, and operational metrics to regional management.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in retail management, with at least 2 years in a Store Manager role.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Strong leadership and team-building abilities, with experience in staff training and development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fluent in both French and Swahili.
- Proficiency in inventory management, visual merchandising, and loss prevention strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and control operational costs effectively.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Solid understanding of retail operations, customer service principles, and market dynamics.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field.
- Experience working with POS systems and retail management software.
- Knowledge of local consumer behavior and market trends in Haut-Katanga Province.
- Ability to speak other local languages prevalent in the region.
