Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily store operations, ensuring efficiency, cleanliness, and adherence to company standards.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Recruit, train, motivate, and manage a high-performing team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Oversee inventory management, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and loss prevention procedures.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and promoting a customer-centric culture.
  • Implement visual merchandising guidelines to create attractive and engaging product displays.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify training needs for staff.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and challenges.
  • Manage store budgets, control operating costs, and optimize profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and security regulations.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on store performance, sales data, and operational metrics to regional management.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in retail management, with at least 2 years in a Store Manager role.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Strong leadership and team-building abilities, with experience in staff training and development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fluent in both French and Swahili.
  • Proficiency in inventory management, visual merchandising, and loss prevention strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and control operational costs effectively.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Solid understanding of retail operations, customer service principles, and market dynamics.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field.
  • Experience working with POS systems and retail management software.
  • Knowledge of local consumer behavior and market trends in Haut-Katanga Province.
  • Ability to speak other local languages prevalent in the region.
