Key Responsibilities
- Assist in monitoring transactions and customer accounts for suspicious activities in accordance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF) regulations.
- Support the preparation and submission of regulatory reports to relevant authorities (e.g., CBN, NDIC, EFCC).
- Conduct research on new and existing financial regulations to ensure the bank's policies remain up-to-date and compliant.
- Assist in the development and implementation of compliance training materials for bank staff.
- Maintain accurate and organized compliance records, documentation, and databases.
- Participate in internal compliance audits and external regulatory examinations, providing necessary documentation and support.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance with internal policies and external legal frameworks.
- Investigate potential compliance breaches and escalate issues to senior compliance officers as required.
- Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging risks, and regulatory changes within the Nigerian financial sector.

- Experience with compliance management software or databases (academic projects count).
- Relevant certifications such as ACAMS (Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists) Foundation or willingness to pursue such certifications.
- Prior internship or volunteer experience in a financial institution or compliance-related role.
