Key Responsibilities
- Participate in a structured training program to learn all aspects of Starbucks store operations, including coffee preparation, customer service, and shift management.
- Support the Store Manager in daily operations, ensuring high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness are consistently met.
- Develop leadership capabilities by shadowing and assisting with partner coaching, performance management, and team motivation.
- Master inventory control, cash handling procedures, and sales reporting systems.
- Engage with customers to understand their needs, resolve issues, and ensure a welcoming and positive experience.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by fostering open communication and mutual respect among partners.
- Assist in the training and onboarding of new baristas, ensuring they understand Starbucks standards and culture.
- Implement and uphold all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and personal development.
- Support local community engagement initiatives as directed by store leadership.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven ability to learn quickly and adapt to new challenges
- A genuine passion for coffee and customer service
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer proficiency and comfort with POS systems
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in retail, food service, or hospitality, particularly in a leadership or supervisory capacity
- Some college education or a degree in business, hospitality, or a related field
- Experience with coaching, mentoring, or training team members
- Ability to analyze sales data and contribute to operational improvements
