Job Description
As a Starbucks Cash Office Clerk, you will play a critical role in maintaining the financial integrity and operational efficiency of our bustling store location in Omaha, Nebraska. This position is central to our daily operations, ensuring accurate handling of all monetary transactions, meticulous record-keeping, and strict compliance with company financial policies and procedures. You will be responsible for the precise reconciliation of daily sales, preparing secure bank deposits, managing and replenishing change funds, and ensuring the secure handling of all cash within the store environment. Your keen eye for detail, unwavering commitment to accuracy, and proactive approach will directly support the store management team in financial reporting, auditing processes, and loss prevention efforts. Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily cash reconciliation, verifying sales totals against cash receipts and electronic transactions.
- Prepare and organize daily bank deposits, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Manage and maintain store change funds, ensuring adequate cash availability for daily operations.
- Maintain meticulous records of all financial transactions, documenting any discrepancies.
- Ensure strict adherence to all company cash handling and financial security policies and procedures.
- Assist store management with financial reporting, audits, and inventory reconciliation as needed.
- Safeguard company assets by following established protocols for cash security and loss prevention.
- Communicate effectively with store leadership regarding cash flow, financial status, and any potential issues.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems and other office equipment accurately and efficiently.
Required Skills
