Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning, execution, and completion of financial statement audits for various clients across industries.
  • Perform detailed testing of financial accounts, transactions, and internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Prepare working papers and documentation to support audit conclusions and findings.
  • Collaborate effectively with engagement teams, clients, and senior staff to gather necessary information and address issues.
  • Identify and communicate potential risks or control deficiencies to senior auditors and managers.
  • Utilize KPMG's audit methodologies and technologies to enhance audit efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Participate in client meetings and interviews, contributing to a professional and insightful client experience.
  • Stay updated on accounting and auditing standards, as well as industry-specific regulations.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field (e.g., Finance, Business Administration with an Accounting concentration).
  • Strong understanding of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and auditing standards.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Pursuing or intending to pursue CPA licensure.
