Key Responsibilities
- Receive and unload incoming packages and parcels, verifying contents against shipping documents.
- Efficiently sort packages into designated lanes or containers based on destination and delivery routes.
- Utilize handheld scanners to track package movements and ensure accurate data entry.
- Load outgoing packages onto trucks and other transport vehicles in a safe and organized manner.
- Operate pallet jacks and other equipment (after proper training and certification) as needed.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and procedures, maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily productivity and quality targets.
- Identify and report any damaged packages or discrepancies to team leads.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift up to 49 lbs (22 kg) with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts.
- Comfortable working in an environment with varying temperatures.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with handheld devices.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or similar physical role.
