Key Responsibilities
- Receive and unload packages from trailers and sortation equipment.
- Accurately sort packages into designated lanes based on destination and delivery routes.
- Scan packages using handheld devices to ensure proper tracking and inventory management.
- Place packages onto conveyor belts or into bins/carts for further processing.
- Consistently meet or exceed productivity and quality standards.
- Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed to support overall operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift up to 49 pounds, stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet demanding targets.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Strong work ethic and reliability, including punctuality and consistent attendance.
- Basic computer literacy for using scanning equipment and internal systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or similar environment.
- Experience operating powered industrial trucks (PIT) such as forklifts or pallet jacks (certification not required for initial hiring but a plus).
- Familiarity with inventory management systems or RF scanners.
