Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive influencer marketing strategies aligned with Jumia's overall marketing goals and brand guidelines.
  • Identify, vet, and onboard relevant social media influencers (micro, macro, celebrity) across various platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, etc.) who resonate with our target audience and product categories.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and compensation with influencers, ensuring favorable agreements for Jumia while adhering to budget constraints.
  • Collaborate closely with internal marketing, content, and product teams to craft compelling creative briefs for influencers, outlining campaign objectives, messaging, and content requirements.
  • Oversee the entire content creation process by influencers, providing creative direction, constructive feedback, and ensuring brand consistency and high-quality deliverables.
  • Monitor, track, and rigorously analyze influencer campaign performance using key metrics such as reach, engagement, conversions, and ROI, generating detailed reports and actionable insights.
  • Stay abreast of the latest social media trends, influencer marketing best practices, emerging platforms, and the competitive landscape to continuously refine strategies and maintain a cutting-edge approach.
  • Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with influencers, acting as their primary point of contact and ensuring a positive, collaborative, and rewarding partnership experience.
  • Manage budgets effectively for all influencer campaigns, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to maximize impact and achieve strategic objectives.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for content repurposing, amplification, and cross-promotion across Jumia's owned channels to extend campaign longevity and reach.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in influencer marketing, social media management, or content growth roles, preferably within the e-commerce sector or a fast-paced digital environment.
  • Demonstrable expertise in identifying, vetting, negotiating with, and successfully managing a diverse portfolio of social media influencers across various tiers.
  • Profound understanding of various social media platforms, their unique algorithms, audience demographics, and best practices for content optimization and engagement.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence effectively.
  • Proficiency in leveraging analytics tools for tracking social media and influencer campaign performance (e.g., Google Analytics, social media native insights, third-party platforms).
  • Creative mindset with a keen eye for compelling visual and textual content, and the ability to provide effective creative direction.
  • Proven ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet tight deadlines.
