Key Responsibilities
- Perform various welding processes including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on different materials (e.g., steel, stainless steel, aluminum).
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols to determine appropriate welding techniques.
- Inspect welded surfaces and structures to discover flaws, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Operate and maintain welding equipment and tools in a safe and efficient manner.
- Fabricate and assemble metal components to create finished products or repair existing structures.
- Grind and finish welds as required to meet specifications.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and regulations on the job site.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure project deadlines and objectives are met.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding techniques.
