This is a vital, hands-on role that forms the backbone of our site operations, directly contributing to the safety, efficiency, and environmental compliance of our projects. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation across all designated site areas, including welfare facilities, workshops, and active work zones.
- Safely collect, segregate, and dispose of various types of waste materials (e.g., metals, concrete, wood, hazardous materials) in accordance with company procedures and environmental regulations.
- Ensure all access routes, emergency exits, and walkways are clear, unobstructed, and safe for personnel and equipment movement.
- Assist skilled operatives with the movement and handling of tools, equipment, and materials as required.
- Operate basic cleaning equipment and tools responsibly and safely.
- Report any hazards, incidents, or unsafe conditions immediately to site management.
- Adhere strictly to all company health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Participate in site inductions and safety briefings.
- Support general labouring tasks as directed by site management.
Required Skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
- Strong physical fitness and stamina for manual labour and lifting.
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness.
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong work ethic.
- Commitment to health and safety regulations.
- Basic understanding of site safety procedures (training will be provided).
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a construction or demolition environment.
- CSCS Card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme).
- Basic knowledge of waste segregation principles.
- First Aid certification.
