Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring high performance and adherence to safety standards.
- Develop, schedule, and execute preventive and corrective maintenance programs for all assigned Shell facilities.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify maintenance needs, potential hazards, and ensure compliance with operational standards.
- Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and structural issues, and implement effective solutions.
- Manage external contractors and vendors, ensuring quality of work, adherence to timelines, and cost-effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, inventory of spare parts, and prepare detailed reports on maintenance activities.
- Ensure all maintenance operations comply with Shell’s Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) policies and local regulations.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and extend asset life.
- Respond to urgent maintenance requests and emergencies, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Collaborate with operations and management teams to ensure seamless facility functioning.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in maintenance supervision, preferably in the oil & gas, industrial, or retail fuel sectors.
- Strong technical expertise in mechanical, electrical, and civil maintenance.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Proficiency in maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Thorough understanding of HSSE regulations and best practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related technical field.
- Certifications in relevant trades (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
- Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with fuel dispensing systems and underground storage tank (UST) regulations.
