Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on electrical systems, motors, generators, transformers, switchgear, and control panels.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex electrical faults in industrial equipment, instrumentation, and process control systems.
  • Conduct electrical inspections and tests to ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Install, calibrate, and maintain various electrical components, including PLCs, VFDs, sensors, and communication networks.
  • Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to execute tasks accurately.
  • Respond promptly to emergency call-outs and unplanned outages, performing necessary repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections accurately in maintenance management systems.
  • Collaborate with other technicians, engineers, and operational staff to ensure seamless coordination and project execution.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, Lockout/Tagout procedures, and environmental regulations.
  • Identify opportunities for system improvements and contribute to the optimization of electrical infrastructure.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in industrial electrical systems, including high and low voltage applications.
  • Strong knowledge of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and control systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and technical drawings.
  • Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and repairing complex electrical faults.
  • Solid understanding of electrical safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout.
  • Experience with various testing equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, megohmmeters).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or technical certification in Electrical Engineering Technology or a related field.
  • Experience in the oil and gas, petrochemical, or heavy industrial sectors.
  • Proficiency with specific control systems (e.g., Rockwell, Siemens) or DCS platforms.
  • Familiarity with preventative maintenance software (e.g., SAP PM, Maximo).
  • Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification.
