Job Description
Are you an experienced and compassionate Care Assistant ready to take the next step in your career? Morden College, a historic and reputable charitable organisation providing exceptional care for older people, is seeking a dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our esteemed team in Blackheath, serving residents from Lewisham and surrounding areas. This vital role offers the opportunity to contribute significantly to the well-being of our residents, providing leadership and mentorship to junior staff while delivering outstanding person-centred care.
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained, working closely with residents, their families, and the wider multidisciplinary team. Whether you prefer the steady pace of the day shift, focusing on daily routines, activities, and social engagement, or the tranquil yet vigilant environment of the night shift, ensuring comfort and safety throughout the quiet hours, we have opportunities to suit your expertise. You will be instrumental in overseeing the daily care provision, administering medication, assisting with personal care, and implementing individualised care plans that promote independence, dignity, and quality of life.
We are looking for someone with a genuine passion for elderly care, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Your ability to lead by example, provide guidance to less experienced team members, and foster a positive, respectful atmosphere will be key to your success. At Morden College, we believe in nurturing our staff, providing continuous professional development, and fostering a supportive community where everyone feels valued. If you are committed to making a tangible difference and upholding our legacy of compassionate care, we encourage you to apply and become a vital part of our Morden College family.
