Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in an intensive training program covering banking accounting principles, financial systems, and regulatory compliance.
- Support senior team members in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to IFRS and local standards.
- Assist with daily accounting operations, including general ledger entries, journal postings, and reconciliations of various accounts.
- Learn and apply internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
- Contribute to the month-end and year-end closing processes under supervision, including the preparation of relevant schedules and reports.
- Conduct initial financial data analysis, identifying discrepancies and assisting in problem resolution.
- Collaborate with various departments to gather financial information and ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Stay updated with changes in accounting regulations and best practices, applying new knowledge to daily tasks.
- Develop proficiency in relevant accounting software and tools used by Standard Bank Mozambique.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (recently graduated).
