Job Description
Access Bank Plc is seeking a highly vigilant, experienced, and dedicated Security Supervisor to lead our Night Patrol team at our strategic location in Tinubu Square, Lagos Island. This is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring the comprehensive safety and security of our premises, assets, and personnel during non-business hours. The successful candidate will be instrumental in safeguarding the bank’s interests through proactive surveillance, effective incident response, and expert team management.
You will be the front-line leader for our night security operations, responsible for developing and implementing robust patrol strategies, monitoring advanced security systems, and ensuring strict adherence to all security protocols. Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of night security personnel, ensuring optimal performance, discipline, and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Develop, implement, and oversee effective night patrol routes and strategies to monitor all critical access points, perimeters, and internal areas of the facility.
- Conduct regular inspections of security systems, including CCTV, alarm systems, and access control, promptly reporting any malfunctions or issues.
- Respond swiftly and decisively to all security alarms, incidents, and emergencies, including unauthorized access, fire, medical emergencies, and other breaches.
- Prepare detailed incident reports, daily logs, and shift summaries, accurately documenting all activities, observations, and security events during the night shift.
- Enforce company security policies and procedures, ensuring all team members are fully trained, compliant, and up-to-date with current protocols.
- Liaise effectively with law enforcement agencies, emergency services, and internal stakeholders during critical incidents and investigations.
- Manage and allocate security resources efficiently, including personnel, equipment, and vehicles, for maximum effectiveness during night shifts.
- Conduct regular training sessions and drills for the night patrol team on security protocols, emergency response, and the proper use of security equipment.
- Identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities within the premises, recommending and implementing preventative measures.
- Ensure proper control and accountability of all keys, access cards, and security equipment during shift handovers.
- Maintain a high level of situational awareness, continuously assessing and mitigating potential threats to the premises and personnel.
- Foster a proactive, alert, and safety-conscious security culture within the night patrol team.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in security operations, with a focus on night shifts.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
- Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to operate and monitor CCTV and other security surveillance systems.
- Proficiency in incident reporting and documentation.
- Sound knowledge of emergency response procedures and first aid.

- Physical fitness to conduct regular patrols and respond to emergencies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) for report generation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma in Security Studies, Criminology, or a related field.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., ASIS CPP, PSP, ISMI CSMP).
- Previous experience in banking or financial services security.
- Knowledge of local security regulations and protocols.
