Key Responsibilities
- Patrol designated areas on foot or in a vehicle to detect and prevent security breaches.
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to identify potential threats or incidents.
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies, alarms, and suspicious activities.
- Enforce company policies, procedures, and property rules to maintain order and safety.
- Prepare detailed incident reports and daily activity logs accurately and thoroughly.
- Control access to premises, verifying identification and authorizing entry for visitors and personnel.
- Provide excellent customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by offering assistance and directions.
- Conduct safety inspections and report any hazards or maintenance issues.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services as needed during critical situations.
- Maintain a visible presence to deter criminal activity and ensure a secure environment.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid BSIS Guard Card (or ability to obtain one upon hire).
- Minimum 6 months of experience in security, military, or law enforcement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs for extended periods.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic computer proficiency for report writing and system monitoring.
- Ability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or related field.
- Prior experience with access control systems and CCTV monitoring.
- First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
- Experience in customer service or public interaction roles.
- Bilingual proficiency (especially Spanish).
