Key Responsibilities
- Patrol designated areas regularly, both indoors and outdoors, to ensure safety, detect any unusual or suspicious activities, and prevent unauthorized access.
- Monitor surveillance equipment, including CCTV cameras, access control systems, and alarms, to identify security breaches or potential hazards.
- Control access to company premises, verifying credentials of personnel, visitors, and contractors, and issuing visitor passes as per policy.
- Respond promptly and effectively to alarms and investigate disturbances or emergencies, taking appropriate action as per company protocols and emergency procedures.
- Report any security incidents, unsafe conditions, suspicious behavior, or policy violations promptly and accurately through detailed written reports and verbal communication.
- Maintain order and enforce company rules and regulations on company property, ensuring a safe and respectful environment for everyone.
- Assist in emergency situations, including evacuations, medical incidents, or fire alarms, providing support, guidance, and first aid if required and trained.
- Collaborate effectively with other security personnel, supervisors, and external law enforcement agencies when necessary.
- Complete detailed incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation accurately and on time.
- Provide a visible and reassuring security presence to deter crime, prevent unauthorized entry, and ensure a sense of safety among staff and customers.
Required Skills
- Strong observational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to remain calm, composed, and effective under pressure or in emergency situations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal (Amharic and basic English preferred) and basic written for report generation.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a security-related role, even informal or volunteer, is an advantage.
- First Aid and/or CPR certification (can be obtained post-hire through company training).
- Basic computer literacy for report writing, email communication, and surveillance monitoring.
- Knowledge of local security regulations and procedures in Ethiopia.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays, as per operational requirements.
- Completion of any basic security awareness training.
