Are you a diligent and reliable individual with a keen eye for detail, seeking a crucial role in safeguarding valuable assets? Red Star Express Plc is looking for a dedicated Security Assistant to join our team in Orile, Lagos, focusing on property monitoring during our critical night rotation. In this essential full-time position, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the security and safety of our premises, inventory, and personnel during non-operational hours.
Your primary responsibility will involve vigilant observation and proactive surveillance of our facility through a combination of foot patrols and monitoring of closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems. You will be the first line of defense against unauthorized access, theft, and potential hazards, ensuring that our operations remain secure and uninterrupted. This role requires exceptional alertness, quick decision-making, and a strong sense of responsibility, as you will be operating independently for significant periods.
We are looking for someone who is not only capable of identifying potential security breaches but also proficient in documenting incidents accurately and reporting them promptly to the appropriate channels. You will be instrumental in enforcing company security policies and procedures, managing access control for authorized personnel and vehicles entering or exiting the premises during your shift, and responding swiftly and appropriately to any alarm activations or emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular foot patrols of the property, both interior and exterior, during designated night hours.
- Monitor CCTV surveillance systems for suspicious activities, unauthorized access, or potential threats.
- Control access points, verifying identification of personnel and vehicles entering and exiting the premises.
- Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, emergencies, or security breaches in accordance with established protocols.
- Accurately document all security-related incidents, observations, and actions taken in detailed reports.
- Enforce company security policies and procedures to ensure a safe and secure environment.
- Inspect security equipment and systems (e.g., alarms, lighting) and report any malfunctions.
- Collaborate with day shift security personnel to ensure a smooth transition of duties and information.
- Provide first-line assistance in emergency situations, coordinating with emergency services if required.
