Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a portfolio of existing clients, deepening relationships through proactive engagement and personalized financial advice.
- Identify and acquire new clients within the Cape Shores, Lewes market, leveraging networking, referrals, and community involvement.
- Conduct thorough financial needs assessments and recommend appropriate Scotiabank products and services, including deposits, loans, investments, and insurance solutions.
- Collaborate with internal partners (e.g., wealth management, commercial banking) to offer comprehensive financial strategies tailored to client needs.
- Ensure all client interactions and transactions adhere to Scotiabank's policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance standards.
- Prepare and present financial proposals, negotiate terms, and finalize agreements with clients.
- Stay informed about market trends, competitor offerings, and changes in financial regulations relevant to client portfolios.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, resolving inquiries and issues efficiently and effectively to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial services, with at least 2 years in a client-facing relationship management or sales role.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing client portfolios.
- Strong knowledge of banking products, investment vehicles, and financial planning principles.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build rapport quickly and establish trust with diverse clients.
- Proficiency in financial software and CRM systems.
- Sound understanding of regulatory compliance and risk management in financial services.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Relevant financial certifications (e.g., Series 6, 7, 63, or life insurance license) are a plus.
- Demonstrated experience working in the Lewes, DE market or similar small, affluent communities.
- Bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish) is an asset.
