Job Description

Digicel Jamaica is seeking an energetic and proactive Sales Representative to join our dynamic Field Sales and Promotion team in Kingston. In this exciting and pivotal role, you will be the direct interface between Digicel and our valued customers, engaging with potential and existing clients within designated territories surrounding the National Stadium area and broader Kingston region. Your primary focus will be to skillfully promote and sell Digicel’s innovative range of mobile, home, and business products and services, including cutting-edge prepaid and postpaid plans, high-speed data packages, reliable home internet solutions, and a variety of value-added services designed to meet diverse customer needs. Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and engage potential customers in assigned field territories, including residential and commercial areas.
- Conduct compelling product demonstrations and presentations of Digicel's comprehensive offerings (mobile, home internet, business solutions).
- Achieve and consistently exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets for various products and services.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Educate customers thoroughly on product features, benefits, pricing structures, and current promotional offers.
- Process sales orders, service activations, and account updates accurately and efficiently using established systems.
- Represent Digicel at promotional events, community engagements, trade shows, and other brand-building activities.
- Provide regular, detailed reports on sales activities, market feedback, competitive intelligence, and customer insights.
- Stay fully up-to-date with Digicel's evolving product portfolio, services, and general industry trends to maintain expert knowledge.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and other internal departments to optimize sales strategies and achieve collective goals.
Required Skills
- Proven track record of success in direct sales, field sales, or promotional activities, with at least 2 years of experience.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with diverse customer segments.
- Strong ability to build rapport quickly and effectively, fostering trust and credibility.
- Goal-oriented with a strong drive to achieve and exceed challenging sales targets.
- Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and be self-motivated in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using mobile devices, tablets, and basic sales software/CRM systems.
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle (essential for field-based roles).
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Previous experience specifically within the telecommunications industry.
- In-depth knowledge of Digicel products and services.
- Experience with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system (e.g., Salesforce).
- Fluency in local dialects (e.g., Jamaican Patois) to better serve the community.
