As a Sales Promoter – Field Activation, you will be at the forefront of our market penetration efforts. Your primary mission will be to actively engage potential customers, demonstrate the value and benefits of Vodacom products and services, and drive sales through direct interaction in various field settings. This isn’t just a sales role; it’s about building relationships, understanding local needs, and providing solutions that genuinely improve lives. You will be responsible for creating memorable customer experiences, educating the public on our latest offerings, and ensuring widespread brand visibility and preference.
Your day will be dynamic, involving travel within Goma and surrounding areas, participating in market activations, door-to-door sales, and community outreach events. You’ll be equipped with the knowledge and tools to effectively communicate our propositions, handle inquiries, and overcome objections. Key Responsibilities
- Actively promote and sell Vodacom products and services (SIM cards, airtime, data bundles, M-Pesa services) in designated field locations.
- Engage potential customers, explain product features and benefits, and answer questions effectively.
- Conduct product demonstrations and activations during market events, roadshows, and community outreach programs.
- Achieve and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
- Identify new sales opportunities and expand Vodacom's customer base within Goma and surrounding areas.
- Collect market feedback and report on competitor activities to management.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all Vodacom products, services, and promotions.
- Ensure excellent customer service and build strong relationships with the community.
- Accurately complete all sales documentation and reports as required.
Required Skills
- Proven sales or promotional experience (minimum 6 months)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong persuasion and negotiation abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a field-based environment
- Results-oriented with a strong drive to achieve sales targets
- Good understanding of mobile telecommunications products and services
- Fluency in French and Swahili (local language proficiency is a significant advantage)
- High level of integrity and professionalism
Preferred Qualifications
- A diploma or equivalent in Sales, Marketing, or a related field
- Experience working in the telecommunications industry
- Previous experience with direct sales or field activation campaigns
- Familiarity with the Goma market and local consumer behavior
- Ability to adapt to flexible working hours, including weekends and holidays as needed for activations.
