Are you a driven, articulate, and highly motivated individual with a passion for building relationships and initiating conversations? CloudKettle is seeking an enthusiastic Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our dynamic team in Halifax, Nova Scotia. In this pivotal role, you will be the front line of our sales efforts, responsible for identifying and engaging with prospective clients, understanding their business challenges, and qualifying opportunities for our Account Executives. You will leverage a combination of strategic outreach, compelling communication, and insightful research to connect with key decision-makers within our target market, primarily high-growth SaaS companies and complex organizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth research to identify ideal client profiles and key decision-makers within target organizations.
  • Execute multi-channel outreach strategies (email, phone, social media) to generate new sales opportunities.
  • Qualify leads based on established criteria, understanding their needs, challenges, and potential fit for CloudKettle's services.
  • Schedule discovery calls and demonstrations for Account Executives.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities and prospect interactions in our CRM (Salesforce).
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing and sales teams to refine messaging, optimize campaigns, and share market insights.
  • Continuously learn about industry trends, CloudKettle's service offerings, and competitive landscapes.

Required Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Proven ability to conduct effective prospecting and cold outreach.
  • Strong active listening skills and a curious mindset to uncover prospect pain points.
  • Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and sales engagement tools.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • A strong desire to learn and grow within a B2B sales career.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a Sales Development, Lead Generation, or Inside Sales role, preferably in SaaS or professional services.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation platforms (e.g., Pardot, HubSpot Marketing Hub).
  • Experience working with Salesforce as an end-user.
  • Knowledge of revenue operations principles or B2B sales methodologies.
