As a Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for creating an engaging and informative shopping experience. You’ll become an expert on our product lines, from the latest smartphones and laptops to high-tech kitchen appliances and entertainment systems, ensuring you can confidently articulate features, benefits, and competitive advantages. You’ll master the art of consultative selling, actively listening to customer requirements and demonstrating how our products can meet those needs. You’ll also assist with store merchandising, maintain product displays, and ensure the store environment is welcoming and organised. Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively engage with customers on the sales floor, identifying their needs and preferences.

  • Achieve individual and team sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale system.
  • Handle customer queries, complaints, and returns with professionalism and resolve.
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge across all categories through continuous learning.
  • Assist with merchandising, stock replenishment, and maintaining an appealing store environment.
  • Promote extended warranties, credit options, and other value-added services.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth and enjoyable customer journey.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in a customer-facing sales or service role (at least 12 months).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A genuine passion for technology and consumer electronics.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation abilities.
  • Goal-oriented with a track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Basic computer literacy and comfort with point-of-sale systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience specifically within electronics or appliance retail.
  • Familiarity with Currys product range and services.
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Retail, Sales, or Customer Service.
