Job Description

Sainsbury’s is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Store Supervisor to join our inaugural team in Countryside, Clearwater. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily store operations, ensuring efficiency, cleanliness, and adherence to company standards.
- Supervise, train, and mentor a team of store associates, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Manage inventory, including stock rotation, receiving, pricing, and replenishment to maximize sales and minimize waste.
- Provide exceptional customer service, resolving customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, company policies, and legal requirements.
- Assist in scheduling staff, managing breaks, and allocating tasks to optimize productivity.
- Handle cash management, including till reconciliation, bank deposits, and maintaining financial records.
- Monitor sales performance and contribute to strategies for achieving sales targets.
- Support the Store Manager in implementing promotional activities and merchandising plans.
- Open and close the store, ensuring security procedures are followed meticulously.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a retail environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or team lead role.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Retail Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience with inventory management software.
- First aid and CPR certification.
- Knowledge of local food safety regulations.
