Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently sort letters and parcels manually and using automated sorting equipment.
- Load and unload mail from vehicles, ensuring safe and timely handling.
- Move mail bags, cages, and trolleys around the mail centre.
- Process mail according to Royal Mail’s operational procedures and safety guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations.
- Work effectively as part of a team to meet processing deadlines.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs.
Required Skills
- Ability to read and understand sorting instructions and addresses.
- Basic numeracy skills for counting and processing mail.
- Good physical fitness, capable of lifting and moving mail items up to 11kg.
