Key Responsibilities
- Receive and process guest room service orders accurately and efficiently, either by phone or through the POS system.
- Prepare trays and carts with ordered food and beverages, ensuring proper presentation and cleanliness.
- Deliver food and beverage orders to guest rooms promptly and courteously, adhering to service standards.
- Set up and present meals in guest rooms, ensuring all items are accounted for and presented aesthetically.
- Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and complaints professionally and resolve issues to guest satisfaction.
- Process payments for room service orders, including cash, credit card, and charge-to-room transactions.
- Clear used trays and dishes from guest rooms and hallways in a timely manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the room service pantry and equipment.
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and other departments to ensure seamless guest service.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English.
- Strong customer service orientation with a genuine desire to assist guests.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good physical stamina, capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling heavy trays and carts.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in order taking and delivery.
- Basic math skills for handling payments and making change.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (6+ months) in a hotel room service, restaurant, or food service role.
- Familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems.
- Knowledge of various food and beverage items, including basic wine pairings.
- Ability to speak a second language is a plus.
