Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and analyses across various business lines and financial products.
  • Monitor risk exposures against established limits and company policies, ensuring timely identification of breaches or emerging risks.
  • Prepare detailed and insightful risk reports for senior management and regulatory bodies, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
  • Assist in the development, validation, and implementation of risk models and frameworks.
  • Ensure strict adherence to local and international regulatory requirements (e.g., OSFI guidelines) and internal compliance policies.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including business leaders, audit, and compliance teams, to embed risk management practices.
  • Proactively identify and assess new and evolving risks, proposing appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Participate in the review and enhancement of risk management processes and tools.
  • Contribute to training and awareness programs to foster a strong risk culture within the organization.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in risk management, financial analysis, or a related field within the financial services industry.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel (advanced), SQL, and/or statistical software (e.g., R, Python).
