Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the collection, validation, and processing of data required for risk models, reports, and analyses.
  • Support senior Risk Analysts in the preparation of regular and ad-hoc risk reports and presentations for internal stakeholders.
  • Conduct basic quantitative and qualitative analysis of various risk factors across different business units.
  • Help maintain and update risk management databases, documentation, and risk policies.
  • Participate in internal meetings and training sessions to deepen understanding of banking products, operations, and risk management principles.
  • Monitor key risk indicators (KRIs) and alert senior team members to potential trends or issues.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Risk Management department, enhancing processes and methodologies.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas) for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Latvian.
  • A keen desire to learn and develop a career in financial risk management.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proactive attitude and strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field.
  • Prior internship, project, or academic experience demonstrating analytical capabilities in a financial context.
  • Familiarity with financial products, banking operations, or regulatory requirements.
  • Basic knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) or programming languages (e.g., Python, R) is a plus.
