Job Description
Are you a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with a keen eye for visual appeal and a passion for creating engaging retail experiences? Marsavco, a prominent leader in the consumer goods industry across the Democratic Republic of Congo, is seeking an energetic Retail Merchandiser – Store Display to join our dynamic team in Kolwezi, Lualaba Province. In this critical on-site role, you will be the face of our brands within various retail environments, directly impacting product visibility and sales performance. You will be responsible for executing our merchandising strategies to perfection, transforming store aisles and promotional spaces into captivating showcases for our extensive range of products, including popular soaps, cooking oils, and food items.

You will work closely with store management and sales teams to identify opportunities for improved product placement, implement new planograms, and ensure all visual merchandising standards are met or exceeded. Key Responsibilities
- Execute visual merchandising strategies and planograms for Marsavco products across various retail outlets in Kolwezi.
- Ensure optimal product placement, visibility, and accessibility on shelves and promotional areas.
- Monitor and manage stock levels, ensuring proper rotation (FIFO) and preventing out-of-stock situations.
- Set up, maintain, and refresh promotional displays, ensuring they are attractive, accurate, and compliant with brand guidelines.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with store managers and retail staff.
- Report on display effectiveness, competitor activities, and stock issues to the sales and management teams.
- Ensure all products are priced correctly and adhere to company and regulatory standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of product displays.
- Provide feedback on product performance and consumer preferences to inform future merchandising strategies.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in retail merchandising or visual display.
- Strong understanding of retail environments and consumer buying behavior.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Detail-oriented with a creative eye for aesthetics and display arrangement.
- Physical ability to lift and move merchandise, and stand for extended periods.
- Proficiency in basic reporting (e.g., using mobile apps or simple forms).
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel within Kolwezi and surrounding areas.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or Certificate in Merchandising, Marketing, or a related field.
- Prior experience working with FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) products.
- Knowledge of local market trends in Lualaba Province.
- Fluency in Swahili and/or Tshiluba in addition to French.
