Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet and seat guests upon arrival, presenting menus and explaining daily specials with enthusiasm.
  • Provide detailed information about menu items, ingredients, preparation methods, and wine pairings to enhance the guest experience.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders using a Point-of-Sale (POS) system and relay them efficiently to the kitchen and bar staff.
  • Serve food and beverages promptly, courteously, and with meticulous attention to presentation standards.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal, respond promptly to requests, and resolve any issues professionally and discreetly.
  • Process payments accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit card transactions, and operating the POS system with integrity.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of dining areas, ensuring tables are properly set, cleared, and sanitized.
  • Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff, hosts, and other team members to ensure a seamless and efficient service flow.
  • Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations, including food handling, hygiene standards, and responsible alcohol service.
  • Assist in the complete setup and breakdown of the dining room, including restocking supplies and preparing for subsequent shifts.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience (minimum 1 year) as a Waiter/Waitress in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English; proficiency in French is a strong asset.
